Help Your Attendees Make Friends—Not Contacts
When you ask attendees, what’s the most valuable aspect of a conference many will say it’s the connections they make. They spend time sharing ideas and brainstorming solutions to their day-to-day challenges that can vastly improve their jobs and how their companies run. But, many attendees are introverted and have difficulty making those precious connections, so as meeting organizers it imperative that we help them develop relationships with other attendees so they can experience the full value of the event.
For several of our clients, we push attendees out of their comfort zones by having them draw a table number when going to a seated meal. This separates individuals from their pals and places them in the position of meeting several new attendees at their table.
